It’s that time again! It’s travel season here at LAURA KIRAR*Design, and I’ve got a few exciting developments to share. My long anticipated fabric collection with Highland Court launched this October and I’m thrilled with what we’ve created. It’s a collection I’d envisioned for many years- painterly & urban and elegant & earthy, in a fresh and sophisticated palette of acids and neutrals that I call “Gardenesque”. I’m in the midst of working on my next collection for Arteriors Home, along with new additions for both Baker and McGuire. With this comes lots of sketching, editing, selecting of materials and flying from place to place for product reviews.
On the interior design front, my team and I just wrapped up a two-year long interior project- everything from architecture to décor- of a stunning “eco-chic” style Greenwich Village Townhouse (stay tuned for photos!). And finally, I’m spending more time recently on the restoration of my ancient Moorish-style Hacienda in Mexico, which continues to be an extraordinary source of inspiration for me.
